holy trinity church

Dear Friends,
It was a very wise person who said that a joy that is shared is a joy doubled, whilst a sorrow that is shared is a sorrow halved. This is particularly true for those who live alone. I well remember a widowed friend of mine who was blind, telling me that after her husband’s death, it was the visits from friends and the frequent phone calls from these same friends that made life tolerable. But sadly, in the world of today, there are many lonely people who are very short of the sort of friends who visit frequently and to whom they can unburden themselves. And even families quite often become estranged until there is some form of emergency.
We in Boarhills, Dunino and St Andrews Holy Trinity would like to think that we are one family, a family who support each other. Until fairly recently we have been two separate congregations sharing a Locum Minister and Interim Moderator. Now we are all one, with one Kirk Session, and although we worship in different places on most occasions, we all share the same act of worship. And we all have the same aim, and that is to share in caring for each other, and to bring others to Christ and welcome them into our Christian fellowship.
For the next two Sundays and over the period of Holy Week and Easter I am pleased to say that our Interim Moderator Alastair and I will be sharing in the conduct of worship. It is always good to share, and we hope and pray that as we walk the way of the cross with Jesus, we shall all be enabled to encourage family and friends to come together with us to share in the joy of worship as we remember and give thanks for all that God has done for us in Christ.
With love and blessings,
Marion
