Dear Friends,
Every morning Zoomy and I go for a walk up the hill beside the hospital before breakfast. For Zoomy it seems to be an opportunity to sniff out which of her doggy friends have been there before her and for me it is an opportunity for a time of peace and quiet and reflection, a time to think and to pray before the rigours of the day really get going. We are very fortunate to live in such a beautiful place and for me, to work with some lovely people.
Very shortly, Zoomy will be going on holiday. She will be staying with her friend and some of you might see her as her friend tells me that when she comes to church she may have to bring her. I too will be going on holiday and will try to post some photographs on our Facebook Page for those who are interested.
Whilst I am away the Rev Alastair Symington will be looking after things in Boarhill and Duino and St Andrews: Holy Trinity. and I am very grateful to him for doing this. It is good to know that everything will carry on as usual in my absence. Should you need to contact him you can do so via the church office or by email as per the church notice board. All this means that during the month of June, although services will be as usual there will be no letter in the pew sheet.
Holidays, and changes of routine are always opportunities for new experiences, experiences that can help us to look beyond the usual and to widen our horizons and I look forward to sharing some of what I hope to experience with you when I return.
With love and blessings, Marion
