What is ‘Little Cherubs’?
Little Cherubs is a group for babies, toddlers and preschoolers to attend with an accompanying adult. It begins with a Music and Movement component- we lead children and their carers in a series of songs and rhymes using a variety of educational resources, including; instruments, feathers, bubbles, scarves, ribbons, drums, etc. The music component lasts approximately 30 minutes, We then have a time of snack and play/craft, coffee/tea and chat.
What age are the sessions appropriate for?
Our programmes are designed to include rhymes and songs suitable for young babies and older children. We have people attend with newborns and those who bring preschool children- all are warmly welcomed. This is also a great place for adults to make new friends.
Where and when do you meet?
Our sessions are run on Thursday mornings in Holy Trinity Halls, on Queens Terrace. Parking at the hall is limited, please park as tightly as possible to ensure maximum capacity. If you are able to park a little further away and walk to the hall, please do. Doors open at 9.45 for registration time, and the session starts at 10am. Following the music session, we have a time of snack and play. Please bring your own reusable cup for yourself and your child for the snack time. People begin leaving between 11.15 and 11.30am.
How much does it cost?
While we do not charge for Little Cherubs’ sessions, we do ask that, if you are able, you would donate towards our running costs. We suggest a donation of £1 per child, (for 3 or more children a total of £2.50 is enough). These donations ensure that we can keep our equipment up to date, offer snacks, provide fun crafts, and offer the best sessions possible for you and your children.
How do I book a spot?
It is important that you pre-book our sessions. We register people for a block at a time. This generally fits with school term times. A booking email is sent out before the beginning of each block. We email out a copy of the registration form to new members but also have copies available at the session. if you would like to try one of our sessions, and you are not currently on our mailing list, please email Julie on littlecherubsstandrews@gmail.com If you book into a block but your circumstances change, meaning you can no longer attend, please let us know.
Is there anything else I should know?
If you or your child is unwell, please consider carefully whether it is still safe for you to attend the sessions. If you or your child has had vomiting or diarrhoea within the 48 hours previous to the session- please do not attend.
I still have questions, who should I contact?
Please feel free to email Julie on littlecherubsstandrews@gmail.com . She would be happy to try to answer any other questions.
